I've been trying to find a Graham Greene quotation, and I was hoping some of my fellow Greeneies could help me. The quotation is something like "There is a certain eroticism in grief." Obviously that may not be exact, but that's the gist of it. If I remember correctly, the statement is made in connection with a man who meets a young girl at a funeral or cremation and prays that God will protect her from him. I had thought at first it was in The End of the Affair, but am having trouble finding it. It may be in a different book. Anyway, can anyone help me find it?
